This is part of a project with Pacific NW and Bay area poets and local artists. I was asked to interpret a poem. I won't go into too many details but the poem was inspired by Alaska and the elements of the cold, dark and rainy days. I wanted the painting to have that feel but I wanted it to be more about the light that always appears.
