Not to get political but I'm sorry I have to....when the National Guard was sent into our state (Oregon) for absolutely no reason, In my head I was thinking "Is this the tipping point". It's a very personal painting for me and I went through a lot of emotions while painting it. In the end, the tipping point I decided, was going to end up being a good thing. People choosing good over evil.
Now that I've got that off my chest. The sky in this painting has over 50 layers of glazing. It absolutely glows. I find myself sneaking glimpses while painting others hoping I can repeat the outcome.
