Drives to my sister's house takes me through the farmlands with various crops that create lines and colors. This was painted during the late fall when crops were starting to hibernate for the winter.

This was inspired from my travels to Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Ankor Wat dates back to 1150 CE and is magical. Nature ended up becoming part of the temples as tree trunks and vines twisted and turned around the temple structures for centuries.

I walk along the river every day and I love seeing the rocks leaning on top of each other. I couldn't say for sure but I think this is where the influence came from. Obviously I took license with my colors!

I find myself looking at the landscape and try and figure out what colors make up the shapes. There were blues, and the green grasses made the blues even more spectacular. The sky was borrowed from another time and it leant itself perfect to complete the painting.

When I was young my friends and I would go to the river and jump off an old dock over and over again. Those were some of my most cherished memories.

If you look close, you will see two figures that look like they are golfing or fishing which is what inspired the name of the painting.

This was supposed to be a plein air painting session but it rained taking me inside. Fortunately, there was a big picture window and outside that big window was a blooming pink Rhododendron bush. This was the inspiration for my colors and shapes.
